Why do games do this? I was happily enjoying the Supreme Commander Campaign, and knowing I have 3 plus the add ons campaign to play through, it should keep me busy till SoaSE comes out. While the UEF is more my style gameplay wise, I like the Cybran ideal, so I played them first, and it was great right up until the last level...

While the games SP missions have a number of minor problems I won't go into, the last level was a 'supreme' mistake. The mission starts you off with a crappy, poorly built base with a broken economy and defences that can bairly keep the enemy at bay. Then you have a tight time limit to kill a super flying saucer before it wipes out your objective.

Destroying it while it's being built isn't an option as there is a huge army between you and it, and your on a tight timer so cant build an army. You can't send your backup commander on a suicide mission, as the teleporters are expencive, and, as we know, the economy is broken. Building a stable and strong econemy leave no time for any effective countermeasures.

It reminds me of some of the levels on advanced wars (esp if you were after ranks) where the logical stratagies didn't work, instead you needed to somehow telepathically know what units you were ment to build, and where to put them, and when. C&C has done a similar trick for years. I'm guessing it is possable with X ammount of unit Y, or a combo of A, B and C.

The thing is though, why? Capcom did this with their fighting games for years, and FF bosses are notorious for it. I could go on with other examples. If they can't make the end game a genuine challenge, why not have something epic and fun? Portal and Halo had bloody easy last levels, but they were great.

Right now I'm also of two minds. I'd love to have some guests over to take my mind off my own problems but I'm also feeling bad because I've been worrying too much and don't want anyone over because of that. I need to not worry at all about anything and for that, I need something to take my mind off of it.

Also it doesn't help I haven't been getting enough sleep. Mostly because I've been staying up and talking with one individual that I've enjoyed talking to quite a bit and I don't want to give that up and truthfully for chatting purposes, I'd be rick astley...

I'm going to make this short because I've been up since 6 and I have to work tomorrow and be "happy" or atleast fake it...

Spent most of my day just sitting by my desktop in my computer chair. My legs been hurting pretty bad lately and walking into another wall this morning and makeing myself fall backwards after hitting it didn't help any. Like really I was walking full tilt and bam right into the wall... It jumped out of no where I tells you!!!

At about 2:15 my Grandma picked me up because she was having issues with her computer trying to type out a letter for her family in holland. She's high 70s (I can't quite remeber exactly how old she is thats bad isn't it) so not surprising she's not that technically sound but DAMN she's a fast typer for an older lady o.o!

After helping her with it and staying for tea and a few games of racko I walked home it was a nice walk too not to long about 25 minutes down the path by the creek nearish to my house a bit on the cool side in the shade but still nice.

Got home and Bro wanted to go out so went for a two hour walk with him to tim hortons and 7/11 then the park near 7/11. He paid so I'm not complaining... But that reminds me I have to go to shoppers tomorrow to pick some stuff up for the next couple days as well as shit for this weekend. I'm gald I bought my brother his present on the first now because his birthday is friday and I'm gone with Nate... Mom's kinda peved but Bro is cool with it says with me gone more cake for him... and I know he's not going to save me any...bastered...

But I should really get some sleep if I'm planning to walk to shoppers and to work tomorrow, I'm so glad I got this shift tomorrow normally I don't get to work weekday shifts but everyone is going on a "feild trip" to another museum and because I refuse to do kid tours I didn't have to go hahah lazyness prevails again!But anyways Night Night~

Hee, just one final reminder, that our audio quality -sucks- for this first show, and that we were also still getting used to doing at show at all in the first place, so the flow is a little off.
We are recording the next show in the next day or two, and it will be up by the weekend!

For the next show to improve quality I'm going to try using 1 mic and doing a direct record to Audacity. in the future, if we have internet guests, Skype might have better quality, but I have yet to test it.

Hi ppls, i have an odd question.

Anyone going to play Age of Conan? It seams like it's going to be graphically violent and an interesting MMO that's a lot different then your usual point and click farm fest.

For us, the only down side to the game so far as that the 3 races you can be is human, human, and darker skinned human which really sucks...but it kinda makes up for it with the like 17 different some classes and crap.

It's a game based on that bad 80's film Conan, starring the Govinator, and a few of the Conan comics. So we all know it's going to be bloody and i hope that can carry over the non furry races :( Over all game mechanics are great looking, combat is very innovative, and magic is a little....weird...not bad, just very different.

I just hope it doesn't go the way of Vanguard :( Even Vanguard had fox people....but the game tanked...and tanked hard! In a way, i'm hoping Conan dose very well. Wow needs some competition in the market...maybe then it will be forced to have some "quality" control.

I'm haveing a pretty unlucky day. Dropped a ice cube tray filled with water, walked into a wall, tripped on my own two feet walking, fell up the stairs not once but twice, and made dinner way to spicy...

Nate's over again today it rainned for most of the day today so he didn't have to work (rain + construction yards = not a good idea) and he's got himself an idea that if he can invent something and patent it and sell it to a coperation he can make quite a bit of money... Now heres the thing I agree you can make alot by doing this but... your idea has to be plasable and you need connections, his idea is a good one I'll give him that it will really reshape the way people look at apps for cellphones and pdas but problem becomes... no connections. So I'll see how this pans out who knows in two weeks he could give up or sell his idea for thousands of dollars only time will tell.

I'm still in a downner mood from last night never really snapped out of it went to bed early and everything maybe its the weather... dout it but meh.

Okay well it is official my mom said I could go and I got work off so yeah for Windsor next weekend but… I donno my mom is being a little on the extreme side she says I’m 19 and can make my own decisions so she’s not going to say I can’t go but it would seem that at the same time she’s trying to guilty trip me into not going, she says she trusts me it’s Nate’s friends and Nate himself that she has an issue with that and other things. See the thing is I trust Nate more then I trust most others, we just have this understanding… She’s pulling the “but you’re my baby girl I just want to protect you and make sure you don’t get hurt.” Bullshit yeah I know she is just worried but come on I’ve been able to take care of myself for years now and been doing things that she doesn’t know because if I told her she wouldn’t “understand” for a lack of a better word… Nevermind its not that big of a deal I guess…

But last night Nate really pissed me off… He’s working in Chatham this summer but really would rather be back in Windsor, and he use to tell me things on MSN like how his day was or if something interesting happened and now he says he kinda does things at work and shit he wouldn’t normally do just to tell me stories because he knows I like hearing them… But it’s not the stories I’m interested in, it the fact someone feels they can tell me thing is what I like, so his comments made me think that the reason he acts the way he does and tells me is because he feels bad for me because I live this boring life and have to rely on others for interesting things… Maybe I’m over thinking it and he didn’t mean it that way but it still felt kinda odd to hear what he said and also I was to know that when I do move to Windsor I will probably hear less stories because when he’s in Windsor he has a slightly different persona then when he’s with me in Chatham he’s more cool and sleek then the person I know.

I donno I guess I just assumed that no matter where you were you are still just you but apparently I was sadly mistaken. In my land of disillusion and fantasy people are truthful and can be trusted…

I worked today with Erin, I actually like working with her we can have an intelligent conversation about real things not just who she’s banging or when the next time she’s getting plastered like every conversation with my other co-worker… Staying up till after 1:30 and then getting up at 7 was not a great plan on my part, especially when I was really tired to begin with and then having to go to my grandma’s for coffee for mothers day… Actually that wasn’t half bad me and Mitchell normally stay in the kitchen while everyone else is in the living room, and because I had to go to work before lunch my grandma made some food ready for me so I could eat before I go, she pretty nice for an old bird LoL actually I’m going over there tomorrow to help her plant some flowers and what not… Not like I have anything else better to do

I'm suddenly in a really foul mood and I'm not 100% sure why so I'll get off and see if I can figure out whats cuasing me to feel this way.~~

I got back to playing Contra 4 on my DS yesterday. I seriously "pwned" it BADLY (as in "I'm ultimate" badly). Black Viper (the final boss) got his brain kicked (because you have to kill his brain to complete it). And, I did it WITHOUT getting hit once. GOD, they sure did blow up good.
