Sad State of Affairs...

What a mess. Earlier on this morning I decided XP having a whole 20GB for its partition was way too much, so leave it to me to fire up PartitionMagic, and screw the whole thing up. Right now, trying to boot to Vista gives the following error:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The NT Initial Command Process System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000001 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

Huh. Just wonderful. I'm at the point right now where I'm about to try reinstalling Vista, and hope for the best. Was able to back up almost all the important files, save for one folder, and as a big hint, it's name was "^fur". No matter what I tried with it, I'd always get an "Access Denied" error, which was curious, because every single other folder on my desktop copied without a problem.

Just maybe there'll be some sort of option with upgrading to carry files over, but I doubt it.

Also up this early to see if by any chance that tail gets here today. Plan on being up to 9 or so. I figure that way I can go over to Josh's house and feed the dogs then, then come home, go to bed.

And there we go. Installation is started, and it said something about "OMG YOU'RE TRYING TO INSTALL OVER AN OLD WINDOWS INSTALLATION WE'LL BACK UP YOUR FILES TO WINDOWS.OLD BUT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR OLD OPERATING SYSTEM", so we'll have to see. In all honesty, those files are things I could probably find again, but it'd just be easier to get them back as is :\

Anyways though, as I was saying, feed the dogs at 9, come home, bed, yes. Then wake up at 3 again, go back, feed them, let them run around in the back yard, possibly wash the spoons I've been using to scoop out their food, then come back home, go to bed, and sleep for however long I can.

Day shifts have come to an end once again for me, except for the odd one here and there in the future, but I won't miss them. Especially after today.

Walked in at 4, looked at deployment, and saw I was on DTO - Drive Through Orders. Then I looked at the handwashing sheet, and to my dismay, found that the closer who'd be the most likely to take over drive through wouldn't be there 'till nine. First three hours didn't go so bad, until we had some clueless lady that thought number fives came with two fajitas (not unless you want to pay $10 for a combo :s), then slowly downhill after that.

Josh (nickname "Tank", for some reason), who had been cashing people out up to that point left at 7. Wasn't that bad afterwards, just more annoying trying to run around getting things done with the store a mess and whatnot.

Then Manoah arrived at 8, and within half an hour, had already gone out for a smoke break. Like I told Mark and at least one other person (I think Jess), "it must be nice".

Hmm. "Windows meeds to restart to continue". You do that. Moving on though~~

That's the first thing that contributed to me being in a bad mood after 9. The other main thing being that I asked Mark well beforehand if I'd be able to go out for a break once someone took over drive through, and he agreed. At 9, he was nowhere to be found, so I went looking for him, and to my surprise, found Josh C. (the one who I'd assumed would be taking over drive through) doing sour cream. Now I can't fault him or Mark for doing / telling him to do that, but in that sort of situation, it'd be nice to at least be told "Josh is just doing sour cream then you can go on your break".

Feh. I don't think it's going to come today. I can't really see any reason with just going to bed and letting someone else bring it in either, aside from possibly having to pay for it like I did with the airbrushed tail I got from SPark, but yeah. Naomi's now seen me wearing the one I got from Chesh (the first one), earlier tonight, when I was playing Guitar Hero II. Walked into the dining room, and I tried to turn to sort of cover it up (so here I am playing a game but effectively not even facing the TV), which just didn't work. I did get her computer working again earlier though, so that should at least keep her from going to Mom and Dad saying "He's wearing a tail ;_;", although I can't picture them caring that much. Just one of those things that seems dismissable in the "As long as you're not hurting yourself or anyone else by doing it" sense. On the topic of it coming though, I really need to tell Mom, Dad, and Adam and Naomi sometime soon "If anyone comes to the door for me in the next couple months with a box, and I'm sleeping, wake me up". Only problem there is the "Why?", but right now, I've been toying with a response of "I'll give you three guesses".

And yeah. As a late warning right now, I haven't gone to bed at all yet, so if any of this sounds strange, there's your answer.

Last thing on the tail related topic, at work tonight, a customer came through drive through, and they had this awesome blue and yellow blanket in a pile in the back seat of their car, that was just awesome and <3, so that might be something to keep in mind after commissioning footpaws. By no means a blanket (that'd be rather pointless), but just something with the same color scheme.

... pfffff... still nothing. Last time I got one (the first one from Chesh, again), it came at somewhere between 8 and 9 in the morning, so I'd like to think the same would happen here, but it is coming from a different person, and thus could very well be getting shipped by a different company.

And it now appears Vista finally requires user input. Took long enough.
