Hmmph. The only thing I remember is that coniferous trees is that they're of the type that have needles on them, or stay green all year long, if I remember correctly. I also have the strong feeling that either it is a legit question, or just someone trying to say "Hey I know the difference and you don't hahaha". What significance it has is beyond me, but then again, that's their problem.
... and yeah. Not exactly a week, but whatever. Didn't quite solve any of my problems, but I did figure out a couple things that'll help should it happen again. One is that I don't have to type out every single minute detail of my life into here, since that's probably one of the reasons nobody appears to be reading it.
There is one bothersome thing on my mind right now though.
I went with them several years in a row, back when I was in high school / the one year of college I took, but then we went our separate ways (*sniff*), and didn't really see each other until I started working at Taco Bell aside from the odd sleepover.
The Western Fair is in London, obviously, which is the first thing. If I'm going to go to London, I want to go to the furmeet. Not to say too much, but I was actually going over it in my head about heading down there with them, asking to be dropped off at the place around 6 or 7, and then be picked back up around midnight. No. If I was them I wouldn't go for it either. And just so it doesn't seem terribly stubborn either, I would go with them. I would go and enjoy myself at the fair, and then have a fine meal at Tony's or whatever the pizza place they always eat at is called. The only problem is that this year, Josh is just going there to walk around with his Mom. That's what his grandma used to do, before she, well, died (let's not mince words here), and from his point of view, it does make perfect sense. Surely Shelia would feel rather uneasy walking around the fair all day by herself.
So no. I'm not going with them just to ride on the rides myself. I don't want to spend $10 just to walk around all day either. He'll probably see it as me once again trying to avoid him, and sure, a small part of it is, but it just doesn't seem like a very fun way to spend a day. There are two problems remaining with that now though. One, I still have to find a roundabout way to tell him no, and also explain why without making him suspicious, and two, for all purposes, I need(ed) that night off, so Steve took my shift. He only had two next week anyways, so it worked out for him. I don't know whether I'm going to be expected to work my shift now or not. If Steve wants it, fine. They'll probably end up closing early like we did on Labor Day anyways.
Feh. I might as well just assume I have the night off, and if I get called asking where I am, fine. Just so long as I have a reason for being late.
Made quite a bit of progress in Metroid Prime Corruption though (up to having to find more energy cells to power things in the Valhalla), so I'm going back to that. Plan on staying up to go to McDonalds for breakfast, given that I have coupons upstairs on my top bunk, but after that, we'll have to see.
