Not Having Line = Not Fun

#%&#@. I forgot my hat in Kevin's car >:( I just sent Josh an email letting him know that though, so hopefully I'll be able to get it back sometime later on today. It wasn't a bad shift altogether, but there was one thing that sucked: main line was unusable. As such, we literally had to make all our orders from mini, including the ones in the rush we got, where our boards were full from both dining room and drive-through orders. It did allow for us to do everything in terms of cleaning line that we'd normally do at the end of the night, whenever we got a chance. I had cold line all set up at 11, and after that, it was simply a matter of wiping it down every so often, and cleaning out hot line at the end of the night. Other than that though, things got done in good time, and aside from our 11:00 rush (which lasted 'till about 12), and bar rush, we were pretty dead in terms of cars. Hopefully line gets fixed tomorrow (apparently a plumber's coming in at 10 in the morning), because otherwise the day people are going to have a hell of a time with the lunch and supper rushes, and it's really going to be an inconvenience to have to use it all night a second time in a row.

I wasn't falling over from fatigue tonight though :p As I said in my previous entry, I went to bed at 5, and after waiting to get tired enough (i.e., laying on top of my blankets until I was almost falling asleep), I got underneath the covers, and stayed that way 'till about 5 in the afternoon. Minus getting up around 9 or 10 because I had to use the bathroom, but otherwise, it was actually quite a restful sleep. Pity I have to be in at 8 tomorrow (although I thought a couple of times earlier tonight about calling to say I wouldn't be in 'till 9), because I'd like to do it again. I would, although I like to have a good 2 hours or so to play videogames / do stuff on the computer and whatever. Tales of the Abyss is slowly starting to pick up speed (and hold my interest), but the terminology is really confusing. Daathic Fonic Artes? Fones? Field of Fonons? I'm sure it'll be really cool once I actually figure it out, but right now, it's hurting my head and causing me to ask "what happened to just simple Techs? In Tales of Symphonia, it was a simple matter of "okay. if I hold up on the control stick and press a button, my character will do this move". In Tales of the Abyss, it's "as long as my character's standing in this Field of Fonons and it's charged up to a particular level, and I press this button, my character will do this move". Yeah :) Once again, it'll probably seem cool in a cryptic sort of way once I figure it out, but right now I'm just attacking with everything I've got, and that's usually enough to get me through a given battle. Hell, I still haven't figured out Unison Attacks in Tales of Symphonia, and I've played through that game in it's entirety over 7 times now. The closest I got was initiating one, and just mashing buttons :s

Getting back to work though, I didn't get bothered about a particular subject as much as I thought I would. Josh asked me one question as a joke, to which I replied "don't even start", and that was it.

I think I'm going to cut this short here though, because there are a couple more things I want to do on this first then I'm going to bed. I'll try to write more tomorrow, because after that, I have three days off, but you'll have to wait 'till then.

I do this far too often... Anyways, I just got a reply back from just (well, possibly not just, but I glanced up at the tabs in Firefox and noticed my number of emails in GMail had changed from 14 to 15), and here's the text: "we noticed i have ur hat, u left it on the dashboard, i got it with my hat" :o He types like my sister XD So now I don't have to stress out about that. Good. Now I'm off to finish up here then head upstairs.
