Whine Whine Whine = All Ange Does

Well, I think it's safe to say that the only time I'm going to be eating food from Taco Bell now is when I'm actually working a shift there. I'm sick and tired of walking in there to get supper, on one of my days off, and getting the third degree because I answer no to someone's asking me if I would come in to work. Like tonight, I guess my parents didn't feel like making supper or anything, because around 8:00, my Mom came downstairs asking me what I wanted from McDonalds. I said "I don't know", so she suggested I come along and make up my mind on the way. I decided to go by Taco Bell instead, as I wanted to get something from there for supper, and I also had to pick up my jacket and XP disc. I walked in the door, and there's Ange, standing in the hallway with the phone in her hand. She said something about "There you are! I've been trying to call you for the past 20 minutes!" At first I thought "Oh hell, they want me to come in", but she walked back through the door, and I walked into the dining room to place my order.

Before I even got a chance to do that though, she asked me "Do you want to work on Monday and Tuesday for me? They're both closes." I said "Not really" and she got all pissy. I told her that I wanted and needed my days off after last night, and Josh (who was working as well) said something to the effect of "Well, that's because of this guy", and proceeded to hit Manoah with a ruler he was holding :p I made my order, then asked Josh if I could run back and grab my bag of stuff, so I did so, then went back up front to pour my drink, and I heard Ange talking.

"Well, I'm tired of people not wanting to help me, after I take shifts for them and all that." I know that had to do with how I said "no" to her, but honestly, she owes me a shift. Not the other way around. Hell, I like to think that I've made amends for all the times I called in sick when I'd just started there, and I've also made up for the shifts I had to get someone else to take for whatever reason. I'm not even going to bother her about the shift she owes me now, because I know she'd deny it, and it really isn't worth it now that I'm only getting four shifts a week anyways. And the thing is, she whines about that, and yet she's called in sick more times than I have now. Back when I'd just started, I called in about two or three weekends in a row (maybe 5 or 6 days), and I nearly got fired for that. I wanted that at the time, but now I'd rather stay working there until I find something else. Since way back then (literally, a year next month), I have not called in sick once. I've had to get Manoah to cover one shift for me, because I couldn't work it, and there were also a couple shifts that I was supposed to close on, but could only stay to a certain time, but other than that, I've been there, worked my shifts, and gone in most of the times I got called in.

Earl was saying last night that they need to hire more people, which is partially true, but they also have to get the point across to the people who are already working there that it is in fact a job, and not just something you can show up for when you feel like it. That sort of ties in with something Kevin was saying the other night as well: "I don't come here to make friends. If you want to be friends, that's cool, but do your work." Far too many people there seem to consider it more important to show up for their shifts so they can see their friends and such, rather than showing up and doing the work required of you. Like, I have no problem with people chatting with each other or whatever, but if there are things that need to be done, like dishes, sweeping, cleaning dining room, and whatever else, then do that first. It's just common sense.

Anyways, enough about that. I still have two days off, and although I strongly suspect someone will try to call me in on one (or possibly both) of those days, it's best not to worry about that right now. I want to head up to 7-11 to grab a 2 litre of pop and a bag of fritos or something, but it's been raining out all day, and it still is right now, and I don't want to get wet :x Still though, it's only 12:30 at night, and I've still got a good 5 or 6 hours in me (I was in bed from 8 'till 6 today :D), so I don't see any reason I shouldn't go. I definitely want to get some more time on Tales of the Abyss in tonight, as it's really going now. I'm just up to escaping from the Qlipoth, and I really hope Asch will replace Luke for a while. He's much cooler <3 I can only hope I'm just getting started into this game though. I've got about 12 hours on it right now, and for the most part, I haven't gotten stuck wandering around aimlessly. Oh, wonderful :) I just got to looking at an FAQ for the game, and this is what I think I still have to do:

OH SCREW THIS. LIVEJOURNAL DOESN'T LIKE < AND > TAGS D: GO HERE (RIGHT-CLICK COPY LINK BECAUSE GAMEFAQS DOESN'T LIKE HOTLINKING), AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN THE SECOND "YULIA CITY" AND "THE GLORIOUS LAND ELDRANT" ARE THINGS I STILL HAVE TO DO. KTHXBYE.

Long but nice list :D Hopefully EB Games has a player's guide for this, because if they do, I'm buying it tomorrow. I don't plan on going into volunteering (Tuesday and Wednesday this week are going to be the days I do), so I've got my fingers crossed. I'm so excited now ^_^ I think I'm going to use some of this energy to get myself over to 7-11, and then I'll go back to more TotA :) Maybe I'll write something else in here before I go to bed, but I don't know for sure yet.
