A couple days ago, my Mom came home from work, and told me and my brother that Sobeys was having a sale on their 1L cartons of chocolate milk. 79 cents a piece. She asked us if we wanted to go get some, and we agreed, but she wanted to have something to eat first, so she did so, and we were off. I bought 4 of them, and a box of Halloween candy that included Kit-Kat, Coffee Crisp, Aero, and Smarties. According to the box, there were 50 pieces in each, but that's highly doubtable. Anyways, that went missing earlier on today, but I'll explain that in a bit. So anyways, we got home, and I promptly opened one of my cartons of chocolate milk, and downed the thing in about 5 minutes :p I also ate a fair bit of the candy (maybe 7 or 8 or them), and then I noticed, about half an hour later, that I was getting really tired. I thought nothing of it, as I'd been up at 12 to go volunteering earlier that day, and I put the rest of the milk up in my window so it'd get cold, and just ate the candy. The next day, I got out of bed sometime in the afternoon, and grabbed a carton of milk and took it downstairs with me. I had that gone in short order as well, but didn't notice any drowsiness that time. About 8:00 that night, I grabbed the third carton, and drank it as well, then noticed that I was getting extremely tired again. Once more, I didn't think the milk would've been causing it (well, moreso that the thought didn't cross my mind), and finally gave up and went to bed around 11. It was an awesome sleep though. I played a little bit (and I mean a very small amount) of Tales of Phantasia before going to sleep, and I ended up dreaming that I was witnessing a battle in the game, and it was all in nice 3D and everything :D Pity that's not how it is, but as long as the version that's coming out for the PSP doesn't require firmware 2.7 or higher, I might buy it. So anyways, I got to sleep, and woke up around 12. I had no plans to go to volunteering, but I noticed my candy wasn't on my top bunk (where I'd left it before), so I got my pants on and went downstairs to look for it, and it wasn't there either. Yeah. So I went back upstairs, and laid in bed for another hour, then got up, and promptly drank my last carton of milk. I sat down in front of the TV to play some TotA, and started to get tired. It was then that I figured "maybe it's the milk that's doing it".
I thought of how long ago, I heard on the radio that drinking milk will actually make you start to get tired, while drinking water will keep you awake, so I went into the kitchen, poured myself a glass, drank it, and within minutes I was starting to fell more alert. Such a simple solution :x I suppose it doesn't help that earlier today I went up there again and bought 6 more cartons (in my defense, they were only fifty-nine cents this time (!)), so yeah.
As for my candy, Naomi took it. Case closed. She's the only one in this house that would do such a thing, and I'm not even going to bother to explain my reasons for such a rash decision right now. Oh, and also, about a week ago, me and Adam were both upstairs, and he said to me "want to see what I found in Naomi's room?", and handed me my DS. He already has one, so he wouldn't take it, but it makes me unexplainably angry to know that she'd keep doing things like this. I know she has my GBA SP as well, but I really don't care about that, as the only games I have that I have to play on it are Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages. I just want to catch her in the act one of these times, and give her hell. The topic got brought up earlier tonight, while she was upstairs, and my Mom said "well, I want you guys to hide your stuff better" (to me and my brother).
First of all, we should not have to hide our stuff AT ALL. Secondly, I've had stuff hidden, and she's still taken it. Take for example the envelope of change I talked about a while back. It was underneath my bottom bunk, at the head of my bed (which is pointed away from the door to my room). Guess what though? Next time I went looking for it, it was nowhere to be found. Once again, it's not the things she takes that make me mad, but it's the idea that she sees nothing wrong with taking our stuff.
Heck, apparently she had one of her friends' phones when she came home today (stolen or not, we don't know), and my Dad said something to the effect of "well, if you don't give it back, we'll take it and give it back for you", to which she said (while running up the stairs, mind you) "you won't do nothing with it, because it's - not - yours" Something seemed strange with how she said "it's not yours", so that's why the dashes / hyphens or whatever they're called are there. Feh, it's enough to make me wonder if she took the games I talked about in my "OMFG!" entry, but I can't see her doing that. The only other game of mine that's gone missing before was Wind Waker, and that was found underneath the couch upstairs. Whether or not it was there from the start is a mystery to me.
Enough about the talk of theft though. There's another annoying thing that happened twice earlier on. First of all, it's a bit of a personal matter, so don't read if you think you might be offended by it.
When I woke up at 12 today, I could feel a slight pain on the inside of my *ahem* behind, that I've felt before. Usually, it indicates that I'll be sitting on the toilet for a while, and this time was no different. Whenever it happens, I always go into the bathroom, because it feels like I need to take a poop. What happens though is that the pain becomes worse, and eventually I am able to take a poop, but the pain doesn't actually go away until I manage to pee. I don't know what the hell it is, or what causes it (and believe me, if I did, I'd avoid it), but it's really annoying. It's subject to happen at any time as well, including when I'm right in the middle of a good dream or whatever, which is more annoying than anything. Oh, and if you couldn't tell, the "number 1" and "number 2" nicknames do NOTHING for me :)
So anyways, that happened twice today. I was not pleased. I'd suspect the chocolate milk of having something to do with that as well, but it's happened before when I haven't even come close to the stuff. I don't even know if it's related to what I'm eating at all :\ Google is being of absolutely no help to me either. I'm not so desperate as to post my problem on some medical forum either, so whatever. I'll deal with it for now :s
Moving on to other things, Bradygames sucks. The guide for Tales of the Abyss is on their site, and yet the people at EB Games don't think they're even going to get it. I want to get it, because it's what I do for all the games I really enjoy (hence why I have one for Okami, Tales of Symphonia, and several other games. Those are all by Bradygames as well, so I don't see why they wouldn't send their guides for Tales of the Abyss our way. Seriously, just because the game didn't come to the U.S. for a while after it was released in Japan doesn't mean the same thing has to be done with the guide as well. Hell, I've seen guides for games at EB Games before the games themselves were released. As well, on the page for the guide, it says "for sale in North America only", but it also says "this product is not yet for sale" so whatever. I might as well at least try to beat the game once before I think about getting the guide.
And with that note, that's exactly what I'm going to go work on doing. I'm just up to getting the measuring device from Sheridan (I think that's the name), and things are starting to pick up once again.
Oh, and one other thing. Tomorrow night's going to be interesting. It's a PA day on Friday, so not only are we going to be obscenely busy, but also, our closers are: Josh, Kevin, Me, Eric, and Amy. Amy has never closed before, although she's been working there for a while, so it's going to be interesting. I can't help but think I'll get stuck on drive through again, (I was tonight as well) but we'll have to wait and see.
Until then :)
