I know there's at least Steve, Josh C., manager Josh, and me on tonight. I think Jake's there 'till 2 too, but that's it. Fun. Jake's still not doing too badly in terms of doing things aside from just cleaning when asked, but where he and I are concerned, at least, he always seems to think I'm in a mood to joke around. For example:
Yesterday night, Josh went to Tim Hortons, and talked to one of the people there about doing a food swap later on in the night. They agreed, so come 11:00, he and Steve sat out in the dining room and waited for her. Didn't clock out for their breaks or anything. Just waited. Instead of going out to sit down with them though, I decided to help Josh T. (someone who normally works supper shifts) with the dishes, and made orders when they came, seeing as he was on drive through.
Eventually I turned around and asked Josh "Are you on your break?" He said no, so I asked him why he couldn't come in and do some work then. Jake was out in the dining room cleaning it, so he could've let them know if she came to the door. So we got a couple orders, made those then I asked Josh if it would be alright if I got the dishes caught up. He said yes, so I went back there, and was going over what he'd done (involving sitting down in the dining room instead of getting things cleaned up), and was thus in a sort of angry mood, then Jake comes back, and says that he's tired of seeing me always playing with the water.
Dear sir: please watch it. I'm in no mood to play around, and you should be able to tell that by the frown on my face. I try to have fun at work just as much as anyone else, but there are times when humor is inappropriate.
Perhaps I'm just being way too serious about it, but the timing was really bad.
And for what it's worth, they didn't come 'till almost 2 in the morning, and they went through drive through anyways. Two medium apple ciders, a medium hot chocolate, medium cafe mocha, and a bunch of Timbits in exchange for 8 or 9 tacos is not a bad deal at all :3
Never got to Picross DS last night though (was way too tired, but not tired enough to work on Recipe for Turnabout some more), so I'm going to do at least one or two right now.
