Bad Start to the Week

I really should be getting to sleep, seeing as I'm going to Heart and Stroke in the morning, but I figure I might as well write something in here, seeing as I haven't in a little while :3

First thing on my mind is work tonight. It sucked. Walked in, wandered around for a bit, then took a look at the schedule, an found that Earl was replacing Glenda's shift. Apparently she's away on holidays or something. That meant it was me, Earl, and Mark to close. Mark's tolerable. Earl isn't. So anyways, I set about rotating torts, and cleaning mini, then overheard Earl say something about how I was going to be on drive through. Was not pleased about that, but then again, it was pretty dead (so much that Earl kept referring to the place as "Deadsville"), and the dishes were mostly caught up, so I had no reason to complain.

Did that from 7:30 'till about 9. By that time, everything was pretty much done (as in stuff Earl wouldn't mind), so we went out to start working on the dining room. Got as far as bringing the bucket for wiping the tables down out, when Earl told me we should take the chance to sit down and have something to eat while we were able to, so he told me to go in and make something for myself first. I told him that I only had $2.25 on me, which I was planning to use to get something from Tim Hortons, but he told me to just go ahead, and pay for it at a later date. I made a single meximelt. With the staff meals (50% off) we get, and the price of that single item, I'd end up only having to pay ~75 cents, and thus, I'm not even going to bother.

As soon as I walked back out into the dining room though, a car pulled up. Never fails. Finally, after about 4 cars, I managed to get a chance to sit down, and by that time, Earl and Mark had made something for themselves as well. They got to talking, and the topic managed to somehow make it's way to some fertility clinic in London. Yep. All I could think of at that point was that I would've pulled out my PSP if the battery hadn't been so low. Eventually though, another order came, after which we got back to getting the dining room ready to be closed.

Me and Earl mopped for a bit, until some black car pulled in, and he got all worried. Said something about "Is that Mike?" then poked his head out the door, looked at the car for a couple seconds, then came back in, and immediately told Mark to wipe line down.

I don't feel like going into the details for the rest of the night though, so let's just say I was lucky to leave when I did. 10 to 1, and I finally had the dishes caught up, so I walked up front, and Earl told me I could go home. Meanwhile, the rest of the store was a mess (Mike and Steve (not the one who works there) were replacing the ceiling tiles), and if I were to stay, it would've easily been two before we were done.

The really sucky thing is that tomorrow night, it's me, Earl, and Mark on once again. I can only hope I don't have to be on drive through two nights in a row.

I think I'm just gonna go to bed for now though. My whole body's sore, and I'm really tired as well :\

I'm so Tired -_-

I don't wanna go to work. I'm way too tired. The really annoying thing about it is that I know when I get to work, I won't seem as tired, because I'm up and active, and then when I get home, I won't go to sleep 'till 4 or 5 in the morning. Then, tomorrow, I have to be to work at 5 in the afternoon. BS. So in other words, screw going to Heart and Stroke tomorrow.

Today wasn't too bad though, I guess. As soon as I walked in, Lynn was right up in my face, to say thanks for the donation I made. Really, it seems weird seeing her there. Normally she'd stop in at least once a month, but now she's there full time, as the Area Manager. Janice used to hold that position, but now she's doing something or other involving the volunteers. Anyways, as for what went on there today, I was relegated to the computer at the back, as the ones up front were being used. Never realized how slow that thing was before. I plugged in my laptop beside it though, so whenever I was waiting on it to load, I'd look over and watch Whose Line is it Anyway on the other screen. Fun.

The printer back there was a real pain (for the most part, it spit out either blank sheets, or pieces of paper with one or two strings of random characters printed at the top), so I ended up just saving everything to the network share, then printing them from Catherine's computer.

So there's no way in hell I'm going there tomorrow, but I probably will Thursday, but not Friday. See, on Thursday, I don't have to be at work 'till 9, so I figure I'll just email Michele Wednesday night after work, to tell her I won't be in 'till 2 or so on Thursday. Then I can just stay 'till 5, and everyone will be happy.

I have Friday and Saturday off this week, so I definitely want to take advantage of that.

I'm off to get ready for work though. As I said before, it's me, Earl, and Mark tonight, so ods are I'll be on drive through again, but you never know...
