What an Awful Night

Where to start...

I'm getting sick and tired of closing with Mark. Every so often is okay, but out of any five shifts I have, for example, I work with him for 3 or 4 of them. He's obviously taken over for Glenda, and although there's not much to say about that that I haven't already, it'd be really nice if they had, say, Ange close Sunday and Monday, then Mark on Tuesday and Wednesday. Even if they alternated. Like, he's a cool guy, and fairly easy to get along with, but I'm starting to get tired of him.

Of course, there's not much I can do about that, and I'm sure there are other closers that feel the same way, but... ugh.

So anyways, we weren't too busy tonight. Just what was already said, as well as that he got the idea that all three of us would first work on the dishes, then once those were caught up, go out and do the dining room. Then somewhere in between putting some of the dishes away and making an order, John said something about how he was at some bar Saturday night, where he used to work, and got offered a job. All he would need to do is bring in a resume, and as far as I can tell, he's going to take it.

Assuming that works out for him, we'll not only lose a closer, but also someone that, to me at least, was actually fun to work and hang out with. Also found out that on the day him, Kelly, and me were going to do whatever, he got into some sort of accident, resulting in him no longer having a car :\ I suppose the good thing about that is I now no longer need to constantly worry about us both getting the same Monday off :s I still plan on getting down (or up) to London again somehow, but it just got much more difficult.

Just... thank God I have tomorrow night off. I really dunno what I'm going to do (I have a bad feeling Josh'll want me to go over to his house, so I really need to think of a way to say "Why don't you come over here?"), but meh. I'll figure something out :3 Right now I feel like just going to bed to end this (very bad) day, but I've got to clean up my desktop first, then I'll probably play some more Avernum 4. I might feel like just going to sleep, but I'm nowhere near tired enough yet :s

I Don't Get It

I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but still :p

Feh. 7 in the morning, and I'm not tired yet :3 I'm contemplating either staying up 'till 10 and calling EB Games to see if they got any copies of Guitar Hero II, or just going to bed whenever and calling them when I wake up.

... sad. I just turned off the modem to try something I read on another site (involving bypassing waiting times for Rapidshare downloads), and Naomi promptly came down the stairs and asked "What did you do?" If she didn't have to go to school today, I'd just turn the modem off again and go to bed. All she's done all weekend was sitting in front of the TV upstairs, talking to people on her laptop.

Wow. Started defragmenting the Vista parition because a bunch of stuff finished downloading tonight, one of which was all the Garfield comics from 1979 or something to 2007. It's defragmenting every single file. At ~365 files a folder. That doesn't make sense either :s

Meh. Might as well just go to bed. Dad's up now, so other people are sure to follow, and at 7:30 in the morning, I'd rather have my privacy~

This has Been a Very Uneventful Night

I like this song~ Watched "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" earlier because I was bored, and a bit of it played, so I did a Google search for the lyrics, and found the name of the song from there :3 It's just rather loud at full volume, and my headphones are upstairs, so yeah... Hopefully it doesn't wake anyone up.

But anyways, trying to decide whether or not I'm going to go to Heart and Stroke in the morning. The only thing that's keeping me from saying "Yes" is that it's almost 5 in the morning, and same as last night, I don't feel the least bit tired :\ Right now, I'm more thinking about not going today, but then going Wednesday and Friday. Possibly Thursday as well, but we'll have to wait 'till then to see. One way or another though, I do have to email Michele to tell her what's going on, so I suppose I should do that sometime soon :s

Otherwise, I've just been sitting here playing Avernum 4. Yay :3 There is one annoyance with it though. Ever since I "installed" the font fix for Vista (located here), the game lags up horribly whenever there's more than one line of text on the screen at a time. I've tried using different compatibility modes and whatnot, and that didn't work, so right now, I'm at the point where I could try using a System Restore point from back before I used that patch, or just continue on with what it's like now :\ I suppose I could try booting into XP, and running it from there, but that's an awful lot of fuss to go through just for a game :x

Just got done the whole Eastern Gallery area, which was very frustrating. I don't know where he got the idea to place upwards of 6 chitrachs on each screen (including the underground areas), but they were extremely annoying.

Time to see what this new area holds. I should probably be going to bed, but meh. Soon enough :3
