Rather Strange

I said in my previous entry that I'd probably get done at Heart and Stroke around 4, then sleep for a couple hours when I got home, correct? That went exactly as planned, although just before I actually fell asleep (or so I'm assuming), I had some weird dream where Mark was bringing the thing that holds all the condiments (that's in the dining room right now) into the middle of the store, where we were spraying it with water :s Then a car pulled up, and he said something about how if the people saw the condiment stand there, they'd assume the dining room was closed, and we could get in trouble for that. I really don't know, so yeah :p

But anyways, the strange thing is that in those two hours, it felt like I had a better sleep than when I'd slept from 6 or 7 'till 12 earlier on in the day. Then again, when my DS started going off, the bed was wonderfully warm, and I didn't want to get out of it, so I dunno. I suppose the good thing about it is that now I know I can squeeze in an extra couple hours of sleep after I get back from Heart and Stroke (or wherever else I might happen to be) in the afternoon, provided I'm tired. That's not necessarily always the case, but more often than not it is.

Closed with Mark and John tonight, which was both good and bad, given the circumstances. Mark decided to, for some ridiculous reason, ask John whether he wanted to wash dishes or close the dining room. Note that he (John) was on drive through at the time, so he should've done dishes regardless. Of course not. I won't go into details, but by the time he finally managed to get the floor mopped, it was almost 2, and he started at 11. If Jerome had still been there at the time, I'd have told Mark "Why don't you go out and do the dining room? That way, one person can be working on it constantly, and John can get whatever dishes he can washed between customers." His logic just amazes me sometimes.

Back tomorrow with me, Ange, Mark, and Manoah. I know Manoah's done at 3, and we're going to have to put the order away regardless of whether we could be out of there before it arrives or not, so I'm not looking forward to it. Add that to the fact that it's the first Thursday of the month (those are always busy, for some specific reason I can't remember right now), and it looks to be a bad night right now.

Anyways, it's 7 in the morning. I want to see if I can get a bit more done on Justice for All before I go to sleep, so this'll be it for right now :3

Maybe it is sort of Cold Out

My hands are still somewhat stiff from just being outside, so I can hardly type anything (quickly) that is, and yeah. It's just that... this weather's alright, but mostly just for work. Then again, it was as cold as it is right now last night, and it was still fairly warm inside the store, so maybe not.

So anyways, just got back from getting groceries, and I don't know what I want to do. On one hand, I did finish Turnabout Big Top on Justice for All last night (or this morning), so I could start the fourth case on that, or I could go downstairs, find something to watch on the other computer, and work on Avernum 2 some more on my laptop. It's nice and warm up here though (could be better if the fan wasn't on, so I'm rather inclined to want to just crawl back into bed and either sleep for another hour or so or play Justice for all :3 The conversation that takes place after the end of the third case was... intriguing, to say the least.

Well, random thing first. It seems Evangel (the church, in case it needs to be specified) has finally given up on their year after year presentation of Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames. I can't remember what they're doing this year, but all I know is that we were driving by the place, and I noticed something different was on the sign. It's just that... yeah, I can understand their reasoning behind always doing the same thing when Easter rolled around, given that back when I still went to church, they'd always say something the next Sunday about how they were actually turning people away after a while due to having no more space available, but even then, why not alternate? Do one the first year, and a different one the next, and just go back and forth from there. Not that it's that big a deal or anything~ As I said, I just found it funny that now, after such a long time, they're finally doing something else :p

And thank God tomorrow's a holiday. I don't care if I'm asleep 'till 7 at night or whatever. It's been almost a week now since I've had the chance to actually get a good sleep, so I'm looking forward to it. But then again, it is Good Friday tomorrow, so Mom might very well have something special planned. We'll have to wait and see, I suppose~

Otherwise, as I already said, work at 9 tonight. Same thing goes for tomorrow, then I have Saturday off, work 9 - 2 (going by the schedule) on Sunday, then have both Monday and Tuesday off. It's times like these that make me wish I had my license and access to a vehicle :s

But with that, time to start "Farewell, my Turnabout". Strange name, but there's probably more to it than I'm seeing right now...
