It Are my Birthday ^^

I've been waiting all week to use that title. Sort of sad, really, but meh :p

It really does suck though. I can't even stay up late tonight because our (Heart and Stroke's) Christmas party is at 12 tomorrow, and thus I'll have to be up at 11 or so. But I suppose it does end at 2, and I do have Friday night off, so I can always come home, sleep for a couple hours, then go back to whatever I feel like doing.

So yeah. Mom's just started knocking on my door asking me if I'm ready to go grocery shopping. I told her yesterday (more than once) that it'd be better to go after she picked Adam up from work. But as it turns out Adam doesn't work today. That's fine, I guess *shrug* However, because of that, it now means that we can't wait, so I've got a half hour. Psssh.

But speaking of Adam, he bought Guitar Hero III. If I'd have known you didn't need a new guitar to go with it, I might've bought it myself, but oh well. If there's one big complaint I have about the game so far though, it's that it all sounds the same.

And then I also started Trauma Center: New Blood last night, which is alright so far. It would be interesting to see what the two-player "version" is like, but unless Adam takes enough of an interest in it, I doubt I'm going to find out any time soon.

But enough about videogames. I figure I have 'till about 3 this morning, so I'll get back to them then.

Otherwise, well, groceries, coming home, doing whatever 'till Dad gets home from work, having cake (reading all those Portal-related jokes is compelling me to put something with the word "lie" in here), going back to whatever I was doing before, and eventually going to sleep. Fun :s

I really would've liked it if John had gotten back to me by now, but... oh well. I'm sure he will eventually.

For now though, might as well get up and go shopping. Two Christmas-related things to get out there, so I don't want to miss my chance :3

I Don't Miss That Place

On the way home from getting groceries this afternoon, we went over to the Wheels so I could find out exactly where our Christmas party was. Unfortunately, Mom parked at the wrong end of the building, so we had to walk through the entire place (well, probably not quite) just to find where it actually was (Axle Annie's, that is), then go all the way back. As a kid, going there was awesome, for the Wild Zone and arcade, but now not quite so much.

But as for getting groceries, got exactly what I planned to buy, so save for Naomi's last thing (which will involve going to the bank anyways), all that's left is to wrap everything. That's sort of funny too. This has to be the first Christmas (season) that I'm looking forward more to giving everyone else their gifts. It's kind of a nice feeling, actually. Unfortunately, on the flip side of that, I've given absolutely no consideration to what I want :s Feh. Sooner or later they'll figure that they can give me either something game / computer related that I don't already have, or something animal related (specifically big cats <3) and I'll be happy. But this year, I believe I'm getting jeans. Yes.

And while I'm thinking of it, I wonder...

Got a birthday card from Aunt Marie and Uncle Mark, with $5 inside. To be frank, that doesn't seem like so much now, but they've been giving us the same amount each year for as long as I can remember now (sort of like how, when she was still alive, Grandma used to call us and sing "Happy Birthday" :3), so whatever. Do I still say "thanks" though? I suppose I could easily do just that when we see them on Christmas Eve, and it'd be much more proper than just an email...

Anyways, it's 11, and I'm getting bored with Trauma Center, so I might as well have a shower and call it a night. Or morning. I've also been playing Megaman Battle Network 2 some more, so maybe I'll get in a bit of that before actually going to sleep~
