Closing Without a Manager

They weren't able to find anyone to take Michelle's place, thus, Manoah, Jarod, and I were the only ones there after ~8:30. The orders were pretty much nonstop right up until midnight, but we were still out of there at quarter to, which, as I said a couple times to Manoah when he asked how I thought we were doing, isn't bad, considering.

The only bad part of the night (aside from the business) was him telling me Sheila didn't want the nacho cheese and red sauce pumps to be taken off line 'till we were closed, because we're still out so much food and all that. After much bothering him to let me get rid of them, he agreed, on one specific condition. That he could try my tail on :p I'm not sure if he did or not, but I told him if he was serious, it was in my bag in the bathroom, and next time I went back there, it had been moved, so meh. Shelia's supposed to be there 'till 8 tomorrow night, so it's going to be interesting seeing what she says, but I think everyone else there will have seen me wearing one at least once. I think that point I mentioned wanting it to get too previously is here as well. Unless it's raining, I plan on wearing one whenever I have to go anywhere. Why? "Just because, and it's fun." Of course, the only place I plan on going besides work in the near future is grocery shopping this coming week, but it's better than nothing~

In other news, heard some weird ad on the radio at work tonight that mentioned a widescreen Nintendo DS. All I can find with Google are mockups, and lots of articles that discuss the possibility of a new DS model coming out, but nothing definite. Hmm...

I think I'm just going to head upstairs though. I'm slightly tired, and my nose is starting to run :s *One* of the problems can be taken care of up there, but I don't know about the other just yet :x I'd better not be getting sick...

<cliche>Hell Has Frozen Over</cliche>

The air conditioner just got turned on. My fan is still on at the lowest speed, however because the idea is to be cooled down as much as possible before having to leave for work. Josh stopped by about ten minutes ago, and one of the things he mentioned is that it's "Hotter than hell" there. Erf. On the good side of things though, he also said that our close was really good, but underneath line wasn't swept, and there were two sour cream bottles under there or something :s Oh, and the pipes under the sink somehow came off too, but I stacked up some small pans to hold them up, and Earl apparently fixed the problem this morning because they needed said pans. Meh.

He didn't mention anything about Michelle calling in though, so hopefully she's there tonight. We're supposed to have Michelle, Steve, Manoah, and me to close, so we'll definitely be better off than yesterday night. Unfortunately, unless Steve takes it (and he's in at 7, so there's a possibility), I'll probably be on drive through. One way or another though, I'm closing 'till Tuesday, so I suppose not wanting to be on it tonight could be looked at as only delaying the inevitable. That sounds so... final though :x

And getting back to what I said about the air conditioner above, it feels slightly cooler today, but it's supposed to get up to 33 tomorrow, which sucks. I pulled my fan even closer to my bed before going to sleep last night, and was still tossing and turning most of the time I was asleep. If I remember right, last summer was like that too though :\ Unless I figure out some way to make it significantly colder in my room (using the fan that's down here as well, perhaps?), it's going to be a long time before I get a *good* sleep again ;_;

I guess that's it once again otherwise though. It's ten-to, and I forgot my PSP upstairs. It's not going to take me ten minutes to go up there and grab it, but it's close enough anyways :p
