Apathy is the Best Route

I should know better by now than to distract myself like this, for I woke up at 2:30, and started writing an entry in here right after I ate breakfast, but then got distracted with commission stuff, and have thus started all over again.

Anyways, first and foremost I've been thinking back to work last night. We are of course open until 2 now, so sure enough, the order came while we were still there. Not too big a deal aside from the last-minute customers once again (seriously, the three nights I've worked those hours now, we've had a group of four vehicles come through during the last ten minutes), but while I was making the food for those, both Brandon and the delivery guy walked up behind me discussing where to put something, followed by an out of the blue "But you can't count on this guy" and an inflammatory comment on why I couldn't be counted on to help. Almost certainly meant in fun, because the most neutral way I can think of to describe the delivery guy is that he's a dirty-minded middle aged man. Regardless, I kept making the orders, pretending as if I hadn't heard them, and I swear they stood there watching me for a good five seconds before deciding I wasn't going to react, and going back about their business. I suppose fair's fair though, because earlier in the night I told George every night after work all the staff but him met for a party. Can't remember why, but at any rate, just something interesting. It'll also be fun to see if that starts any rumors, but I can't really get my hopes up for such.

It doesn't really connect much, but the walk home after that was nice as well, because it had started raining by then, but just lightly, and also I saw very few other vehicles, so it was a nice quiet and refreshing 20 minutes <3 Had a few surprises upon coming home too, both of the commission variety. The first is pretty much done, and can be seen here (I just haven't emailed them yet to say it looks good), and the second was only a reply to let me know they'll make the changes I requested and get a flat-colored version done as soon as possible. Oh, and I suppose there's a third too. As mentioned before, my story commission should've been started this week, so the first time I woke up this morning, I stayed awake for long enough to check the author's updates page, and see a new entry, not quite along the lines of what I was hoping for. Apparently the person who was going to review their previous commissioner's story (so it could be declared complete) was unable to get back to them, and only now have they found somebody to do that job. As for me, they simply said "Still need to reply to Karadur and start his!" Yes, you do. Just reply, that is, because I made a suggestion that could affect the cover, and I don't want them to get too far ahead in making it if I'm going to have to ask for an addition. I don't think it's an unreasonable request, but you tell me.

In other news, I'm still fairly undecided about what I'm going to do tonight. Pic Pic would be the obvious choice, but I still have dishes to do, as well as three separate collections of garbage here in my room to find a big bag for, and of course Adam will be asking to play Super Mario Galaxy 2 as soon as I go downstairs, so I might as well get that for him too. I'd still rather say no, not until I have a chance to play it first, but there's no telling how long that'll take me. Besides, that list of games I wanted to play through again before has now increased to Okami, Super Mario Galaxy, Tales of Symphonia, and PoPoLoCrois. And my DS has been on since I downloaded and started playing the English version of Tales of Innocence, so I really should get back into that relatively soon too. The most pressing thing for tonight is dishes though, so I'm off to do those and see just what I could use to make up some supper later~
