Almost Back to Normal, Except for One Thing

I spent almost seven-hundred dollars today. My plans were originally to go to 7-11 on the way home, but I skipped doing that for the all so obvious reason. If I wasn't below $7,000 in my bank account before, I sure am now, but I suppose that just means I'm definitely going to have to check my balance next Thursday and plan my trips to get snacks accordingly, and yes, I mean more than likely once in the two weeks between next Thursday and the pay after that, but I may just go to Sobeys or something so whatever I get will last me more than one night.

On the good side of things though, Adam will eventually be giving me $300, since the new computer ended up being $619.11, after taxes and everything, but that money will be getting promptly deposited into my bank account.

But anyways, since I bought it, I've burned the recovery DVDs, installed Vista Ultimate (I'm not going to install it on my laptop any time soon), then went to work, came back, took the side of the case off, and found that if there's some way to hook up the two hard drives from the old computer, I don't know what it is. I told Adam he could probably just buy a hard drive enclosure, so whether or not he does that tomorrow remains to be seen *shrug* Strangely though, in disconnecting everything except the power supply and CPU from the old computer, then hooking things up one by one, I noticed the red light would only come on and stay on when the storage drive was hooked up. Makes me sort of not want to try to hook it up again, but all the files Adam cares about are on the actual Windows drive, so we'll see, I guess.

Went grocery shopping a day early as well, because Mom's going to have too much stuff to do tomorrow afternoon. Meh. When we first walked in there though, I thought I heard somebody call my name, and again after that, so I turned around, and who would be standing there but Mark. His first question was, of course, why I had a tail, then asking if I still worked at Taco Bell, then he went off to get his stuff, with me thinking all the time "You've got to be kidding me. If there was one manager or employee that worked there at some point that I thought already knew about furries, it was you". Not because he seemed like one or anything, but because he seemed to be mostly up on internet related things. All I said was "Why not?" though, and he just shrugged.

Then after that, standing in the checkout line, I heard some little girl behind us ask her Mom "Is that a tail?" Yes, it is, as a matter of fact. If they don't say anything I don't, however, and she didn't.

Finally, while I was waiting for 8:00 to roll around at work, I was helping Brook ring in orders at front cash (just telling her which buttons to press), and after they'd paid, one of two older ladies next to me said something like "That's very helpful of you. I thought you were just the resident squirrel or something." Corrected her by saying it was a snow leopard tail, then she asked if I had the rest of the costume at home (I suppose the word "fursuit" isn't exactly a part of everyone's vocabulary :p), so I told her I had the feet (I should've said "footpaws", but meh), and had more coming, then she turned to the other lady next to her, said "He's getting the rest", turned back to me again, told me it was "Very cute", and then they went off to get their food ^^ Perhaps I'm obsessing over the tail thing a bit too much, but it's interesting to note the different responses you get~ Ooh, and I almost forgot Manoah took a picture of me wearing it (the airbrushed one) in the back at work, which he said he was going to post to his Facebook, but I really don't care, because my face is mostly hidden by the tail, and I told him not to mention my name either :3

It's 5 though. Downloaded both versions of Megaman Starforce 2 earlier, and after updating the firmware on my R4DS they work fine, so I think I'm just going to go upstairs and play those 'till I get tired enough to go to sleep. Guitar Hero: On Tour is still going decently (the four notes at once in "Pride and Joy" is ridiculous though), but I'm slightly miffed at how several of the songs seem to have been brought over from Guitar Hero III. And I need to send that email to Ange too, now that I know her address, but it's upstairs on a slip of paper anyways~
