As for the rest of the night, it was fun. Not only did it start snowing rather hard, but they've also started playing Christmas songs :D For some reason though, they never once played any version of "Silent Night". A clip of it was in a couple outros where some guy was talking, but that was about it. We weren't too busy, except for one rush around 8:30, and I also didn't get stuck on drive through. In fact, Glenda said something about how before she'd even left for work, she was set on not putting me on drive through because she knew I almost always got put on it. Nice. Ange ended up getting put on it, and I don't know whether it came about because of that, or something else, but she did get pretty nasty at times.
First of all, when I got there, Tina was frying pizza shells, so I started making a noise like the fryer does when something's done, so she turned to look at it, and couldn't figure out why it was going off :) Then Megan asked what was going on, so I told her, then she wanted me to make the noise so she could hear it, and I kept making it every so often after that. Then, out of the blue, Ange comes up and says "If you don't stop that I'm going to give you a writeup." A couple minutes after that, she also said something about how from now on, when I was working a shift with her, I would be expected to check the deployment chart, because she'd be using it. It's like seriously... for nights, you have few enough people that you can just tell them "you're on this, and you're doing this, and I'm doing this". Sure, she could want solid evidence of what we were on in case problems came up because of it, but otherwise, I can't think of a reason she'd want to do that.
Now she actually thinks that I'm going to email her with details about "Crystal". She brought it up earlier in the night, and instead of just saying "I'm not telling you anything", I told her "Well... let's just say that I have your email address, so if I tell you anything, it's going to be with that." She started getting all excited that I was going to email her with details, but I don't know. Why, of all people, should Ange be the first one to find out? It doesn't make sense. I really shouldn't be obligated to tell anyone, because Josh knows my online name, and Ange also has it available now that I sent her the email with download links for the Taco Hell movies. Still, I never actually specifically said I'd be sending her anything. Just that if I wanted to tell her anything, that'd be the way I'd go.
Here's what I'm going to do involving the Wii. At 10:00, ask to be taken to the bank. Withdraw $500, and go out to EB Games. If they don't have any available, ask if there's any way possible to put money down on one, so I'll be able to get one when their next shipment comes in. Regardless of what happens with that, go home, and do whatever else for the rest of the day. Probably sleep, then do random stuff on the computer, and maybe bring down my mat and game for DDR Mario Mix, because for some reason, I really want to play it right now :p Having the money is one of the things that's really bothering me right now. As long as I have it, I can get a Wii at any time. However, as was the case this past weekend, if stores have the Wii, but I don't have the money, it sucks. Anyways, if they don't have one later today, then I'll try 'em on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or whenever possible. I believe Walmart gets all their shipments on Tuesdays, but I'm not sure about EB Games (one would hope it's the same though), so it could work out. Thursday this week is my day for grocery shopping though, so that's going to be sweet. We can go to EB Games, Walmart, Future Shop, and the games section of Real Canadian Superstore all at once. Like I already said, it's my goal to have one by the end of the week.
It's really funny. This is the first gaming system I've ever actually been able to buy right at release. I have the money, so it's just a matter of finding a store that has one for sale. Things started off with my Dad buying us game systems (a NES, Game Gear, and N64, over the years), and it's just come now this year where I have a paying job, so I have money in my bank account for things I want, rather than having to scrape pennies together. Glenda had an interesting idea involving money at work tonight though. Starting January 1st, if you're on either front cash or drive through, and someone gives you a tip or simply doesn't want their change (happens an awful lot when it's things like three or four pennies), simply take that money out of the till, set it aside, and when they drive off, put it in your pocket. When you get home from your shift, stick the money in a jar, and see how much you have at the end of the year. An interesting idea, but there are two big problems with it for me:
1) I really hope I'm not there another year.
2) Naomi's likely to take whatever I put in the jar anyways.
I do that with all change larger than a dime right now, because it's surprising how much you can have saved up when you actually count how much you have. As for anything smaller, it usually just gets tossed onto my top bunk, then, whenever I decide to tidy things up, gets sorted into various piles, and rolled up. I've got $5.50 or so in pennies alone from doing that.
GG I'm bored. I really don't know why I'm even staying up, seeing as if it's one day EB Games is unlikely to have what I'm looking for, it's the very day after the item in question was released. Who knows though. As I already said, I don't know their shipping schedule, so they might get new things daily. There's only one way to find out.
Heh. I'm doing it again. I can't remember where I read it, but I think it was in some random issue of Reader's Digest. There were definitions for various silly words, and one of them had to do with repeatedly going into the kitchen to check the fridge for food, even though there won't be anything new. There is a box of Life cereal in the cupboard though, and it's fairly full, so I think I'll have a bowl of that.
Come on, four more hours. Well, 5 maybe. They open at 10, but I know I tried calling them right at 10 before to see if they had a game I really wanted, and I wasn't able to get through until 11. It goes without saying that I'll probably be horribly disappointed if I'm not able to get one today, but I suppose that's necessary. If I didn't want one so badly, I wouldn't be staying up all night to call them as soon as they open. Like with my Gamecube. Not only would I probably not have one if I didn't get that $300 "you did good in music" check back at our high school graduation, but even then, I got it a couple months after it came out.
I guess what I'm trying to say with all this stuff involving the Wii is that this time, I'm not sitting by and waiting for the chance to come to me. Time to move on to other topics though.
Well, since I'm on the topic of games, I think I'll make up a new list of all the games I own. I was keeping track, back when I still posted at Acmlm's Board, but since then, I haven't so much as bothered to even jot down the game names on a slip of paper. Here we go though (and hopefully I don't start breaking tables :x)

And that's all of 'em (at least current / recent past-gen ;)) There are a couple things to note though. First of all, the couple games under PS2 that have a line through 'em are ones that got stolen. As well, Naomi will not stop taking my old DS and Yoshi Topsy-Turvy, so that game's perpetually in a state of not-owning :p The game itself sucks, as I found out, but it's her just coming in my room and taking whatever she desires that bothers me.
Anyways, it's now 8:40 in the morning. Only a little more to go. Either way, we have to stop by the bank anyways today, because I'm loaning Mom that money, so I'll just get the money for my purchase then, so I have it for whenever it's needed. For now though, I'm going to post this, because I don't think I'm going to be adding anymore to it right now :s
