It's Obvious What I'm Going to Write About Tonight

Well, tonight / this morning. Until I go to bed it's night to me though, so meh. Anyways...

Since I can't figure out where to start otherwise, I'm just going to go through everything that I can remember happening, from leaving the house, to seeing them off on the front porch.

I left the house at 7:30, after confirming that Deoge and Noir were on their way too, and I had almost made it to the train tracks when I heard somebody yell behind me, and turned around to see Deoge doubled over, running up to me :p We talked for a bit, mostly about the Toronto furmeet in November. See, as things stand right now, I plan on getting a ride up there from him. He's renting a vehicle though, and the rental place is closed on Sunday, so if anything, we'd probably end up splitting the cost for a hotel room to stay at for the night, then go sightseeing or something the next day. As I told him, I have absolutely no idea what there is to do in Toronto, but apparently he doesn't either, so I'm sure we'd work something out :p

Anyways, getting back to tonight, we continued on to Sobeys, where Noir was waiting for us. After a minute of just standing there looking back and forth at each other, we decided to head out to bowling. The two of them talked about how they knew each other, we all made comments about how far we still had to walk (from Lacroix and Park Ave to Richmond and Keil), and got there around 8:30. Bowling was, in just a few words, interesting. Not only did we break our lane once (the thing that slides down in front of the pins wouldn't move up and out of the way again), but our second game also got cut short for all of five minutes, and we must've had a collective score lower than everybody else there, including the families with little kids that were there as well. We had fun though, and that's what counts ^^;

Then walking out of the place, some girl standing next to the door said "I want your tail" in a sort of "It's cool" tone of voice. No, you can't have it. It is *my* tail ;_; But then we debated where to go again, and started walking back towards 7-11. Along the way, we played an extremely quick game of I / eye spy, and talked about other things that I can't remember at the moment. Upon getting to the Richmond and Lacroix intersection, we crossed over to 7-11 to get Slurpees. I feel sort of bad about it too, because I tried paying twice (I had my debit card), and both times the PIN pad said "Card cancelled" or something to that effect, when I know I'd pressed the "OK" button. Although now I'm paranoid that I'm going to try to withdraw money for Mom and Dad after work tomorrow, and find that there's none left in my account. Yay :x But yeah. I got it for free, seeing as, in the words of one of the girls there, "It's just a slurpee". Yay again (for real this time) ^^

So then we came back here, and went to Guitar Hero III first. It's so weird having somebody just watch you playing the game :p And it's also interesting that, despite not having played it in a couple weeks, I still made it through Cult of Personality *and* The Way it Ends, both on Expert :3 We also played multiplayer a bit, while Noir did something on the computer, then we moved to the living room for DDR Mario Mix, but not before quickly going upstairs because I just *had* to show off my giant tail ^^; Noir played most Mario Mix though, while Dad and Deoge talked about what he's going back to college for and such, and I played Mungyodance 2 on my laptop. Deoge really seemed to like the fur I put on top of it, but that is what I have it there for :p Oh, and it looks cool too, but I already said that. After Dad went upstairs, Deoge and I played a couple songs, up until about 11:30, at which point they had to leave, because he needed to pick up his Mom or something, and Noir had to be home by midnight :s

We all walked out onto the front porch, exchanged some last words, then they took off down the sidewalk, and I went back inside.

All in all, it was a fun night, even though things didn't turn out quite as I expected (Mom bought stuff for sundaes that went untouched, and we never got out to Tim Hortons either), but one of the things Deoge said before leaving is that he wanted to do it again sometime before leaving for college, and I'd like to as well. Thus, I'm now waiting on a reply from him as to whether the next day I have off would work for him. There are actually two this coming week, and it would be cool to do something on both of them, but I'd be just as happy with one more meet. Oh, and I also should've figured out some way to tell Mom and Dad "Please don't say my name. I'm not going to tell you to use 'Karadur' instead, because then you'd ask why, but it's just extremely annoying.

On that note, I've already sent an email to Lady Ozzlynn (apparently I've been spelling it wrong this whole time :x) asking if she'd like to go, and once Deoge gets back to me, I may or may not be emailing or IMing Zaz and FriedCanine too. As for Noir, she might be in Windsor the first day, and the other day is on the weekend, which I'm pretty sure she'd have to work on. It really would be fun to get all the furs in this city together for one night, but I'm not sure if that's possible right now. Ah well~

As for other things, I attempted to make those chocolate chip meringue cookies tonight too. I tried one of the ones that didn't burn, and it tasted alright, but they don't look quite as puffy as they do on the page the recipe is on :s There are a couple things I'll have to keep in mind should I try to make them again though. First of all, read the recipe thoroughly, and make sure you have all the ingredients measured and ready to go (including greasing the cookie sheets in this case) before starting anything. Secondly, portion one rounded *teaspoon* of batter per cookie (I misread the recipe and went with tablespoons instead :x). And finally, put them in the oven for 17 minutes. Not 20, unless the temperature of the oven is slightly less than 300°.

Also, for Dan Skunk, regarding that furmeet: my answer about attending it is, for now "Hopefully yes, but there's one thing I have to sort out at work first". I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell that to you or not, but all the other furs you contacted would probably have given you their answer, so I might as well do the same :p And then I suppose you could call me a fursuiter too. I should have my paws and ears by then, and I already have plenty of tails and a pair of footpaws <3

Just in case he's reading this, something for Deoge. An answer to a question he asked me earlier tonight. No, I don't really worry about leaving the stuff I write in here available for anyone to read. Coworkers are the only ones I'm concerned about finding it, and although it might be sort of cocky for me to say, I highly doubt they'd even know what LiveJournal is. There are times when I have stuff to write about that I don't want *everyone* to be able to read, but that's what friends-only entries are for *shrug*

Anyways though, since we have more ice cream now, I'm going to attempt to make another peach milkshake. I tried to last night, but, well, let's just say chocolate chips don't blend as well as you think they might :x And I'll try putting some sugar in it too, because that might help. Time to find out~
