So It Comes out Again...

Mom and I went grocery shopping earlier this afternoon, and I figured I'd wear my arm warmers as well as a tail. However, before I even stepped out the door, Mom said "I'm not going out with you when you're wearing those", and I told her to just think of them as gloves, then as she was walking around to the other side of the van, that she should let me worry about my own problems. As it would turn out, our first stop was at Dr. Leigh's office so I could get a flu shot. After waiting in the front hallway for a good ten minutes, the receptionist finally asked me to follow her back to one of the examination rooms, where I sat and waited for another little while. I took that time to put my arm warmers on though, then when Dr. Leigh finally opened the door, the first words out of his mouth were "Ooh, nice mittens", then some if I was supposed to be someone you see standing on the side of the road out in front of some random fast food place or whatever as an advertisement. No, but I would much prefer doing that to some of the other things I end up having to do at work from time to time. Although knowing it, given the only shifts I work are closes, I would be told to come in and start doing work inside after a certain point (somewhere around 10 or 11pm), so not as many customers would realize we were open, and thus we wouldn't be as busy. At least with Steve, because the past three closes I've worked with him (those being Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night), we closed almost twenty minutes early.

Part of me wonders if he's doing that in hopes that Sheila and Earl will see that we aren't getting very many customers past 1am, and change the hours so we close then instead of 2, but if so, that's the wrong way to go about it. Although Sheila wrote a note on the board while she was there last night about how everybody's hours are going to seem a bit shorter because we aren't busy enough, so perhaps the closing time change isn't far off after all.

Other things of note today were, for one, making an adjustment to one of my tails that I've been thinking about for a while now. On one paw, I paid for the change in the first place, but on the other, I've worn said tail out all of once since I got it back, simply because I don't like what was done with it. I plan on wearing that one in to work tonight though, and possibly my paws as well given that they'll both match. Then the other thing was getting a random message in Pidgin from Kumakehu earlier asking if I was going to be at MFF, because he knew there was somebody he wanted to meet up with, but couldn't remember who (or something to that effect). Also talked about a couple other things involving the con, but ultimately I'm more looking forward to meeting him than anything. That's actually something I noticed was really evident at the Toronto meet (at least for me). Meeting anybody face to face that you've only talked to online is a weird thing. Although the only examples I have of it are being surprised at what Dan Skunk actually looks like, and him not knowing who I was until he wrote down my name to keep track of my having paid $10 for pizza.

Anyways, it's now three minutes after 8, and I wanted to be out of the door on the way to work right on the hour, *and* I'm not dressed yet, so this is done, because I have to get ready to go~
