It's Not Over Yet

The past couple years now, Heart and Stroke's Christmas party marked the final time we'd all see each other 'till the new year. However, as I sort of mentioned yesterday, I'm going in there on Tuesday this coming week to hopefully finish up what I've been working on for Julie. Our thing this afternoon wasn't too bad though, aside from the limited menu choices (three specific things from the whole menu), Kit (the lady sitting in front of me) complaining about her food being a "sloppy mess" for most of the meal, and being given movie certificates yet again. Oh, and a stuffed penguin thing, which at least is animal-related. Michele said a couple times on the way home that "It's hard to buy for a guy", and thinking about it, the rest of the volunteers there were indeed women, but meh. I'm still rather curious what sort of things I'll be getting from family, but where they're concerned, perhaps next year I'll have to be a bit less subtle and give them a list. Snow leopard stuff > fur or furred items > normal leopard stuff > anything to do with other big cats > videogames > whatever other animals > money. Yesh ^^;

I actually told Michele I'd probably be going back to sleep when she dropped me off, given that I'm really not used to being up for the rest of the day at 11, but I have to be at work for 8 tonight, so at most I'd be napping for an hour and a half, which really isn't worth it. If I happen to get extremely tired at work tonight, oh well. That generally makes it more fun anyways >:3 But after tonight, I have a 9 - close tomorrow, then Saturday and Sunday off as I already said, work on Monday, then have Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, *and* Friday off. That works out for Wednesday though, because it's Christmas Eve, and I've missed going to the Carols by Candlelight thing for the past couple years from having to work. Same thing for Boxing Day too, but in that case it's because I do fully intend to ask about going out to Walmart then. I also want to pick up that Tales of Symphonia game for the Wii sometime as well, simply because the one for Gamecube was awesome, so hopefully the sequel (or whatever it is) will be as well. Then again, I may not end up playing it a whole lot, but that all depends on whether or not it can be played with a Gamecube controller.

Moving on, those pictures from my walk to Tim Hortons on Tuesday can be found here ([1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]), as well as two videos, if you can deal with my (apparently) heavy breathing ^^; There's supposed to be another snow / winter storm coming either later this evening or tonight too, which is awesome to hear <3 Although it's rather surreal out there now. I could hear birds chirping earlier, and usually that's not something you hear during winter :s

Perhaps it could be considered a calm-before-the-storm type thing though, but with that, I'm going to find something else to do. Namely, making that donation I wrote about yesterday, since I've at least thought of something for one of the fields~

So much snow...

But it will be nice to see things slowed down for a while. A break from the ordinary. :)
There can never be too much <3 Unless, of course, it's up to your ankles or something, but then my problem would be having to make certain changes to the way I normally do things. Oh, and not having a pair of boots too, of course :x

And yeah, there is something special about it ^^ The word "magical" in this sense is awfully clichéd, but it sums it up better than any other combination of words could~
