Slight Change of Pace

Let me just say that from now until Michele gets around to explaining the new P2P receipting system to me, every day I go in there is only going to be from 2 - 4. Today she had me, along with Julie and another lady I haven't seen before dealing with all the kits that had come in. Counting the money in the envelope to make sure it matched what was written on the front, then writing the used and voided receipt ranges down, and finally filling everything out on a balance / bank deposit slip. It was a nice change compared to being stuck in front of Julie's computer at the back, but will be the second time I've gone in now and ended up doing something different than expected.

The rest of the afternoon was alright, because Mom and Naomi picked me up at 4 so we could go take care of our taxes (or whatever they are). Sure enough, as soon as I walked into the place they were calling me "Mr. Rabbit-Ears" and such, then asked if Halloween was really early or if I was trying to start a new fashion trend or something. I was also informed that I could expect about $100 back sometime within the next 21 business days, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad amount, but it's better than nothing. I also need to get a stamp from 7-11 sometime within the next couple days, because I've had two donation receipts from Heart and Stroke in a box under my bed since 2006, and I need to mail off some papers for that to get another $300 or so back. She also asked if I'd made any other donations in 2008, to which I answered no at the time, but thinking about it, there was that $25 from buying a permanent account here that went to the Snow Leopard Trust, but that probably doesn't apply, because I can't recall ever getting a receipt for it, and it was made online anyways. Besides, if I'm getting ~$300 back from receipts totaling $1,160, I'd get maybe a dime for the other one ;_;

Anyways, it's already 7:40 and I want to put some more music on my PSP before leaving for work (stuff by My Chemical Romance), and Adam needs to use my USB cable as well, so I'm going to post this and get those things taken care of~
