This Was to be Expected

Michelle was the manager over supper last night, so while Steve and I were waiting for our shifts to start, she told both of us (well, it was more directed just at him, but I was right there too) that from now on, Sheila wants mini to remain up and running until 7pm Sundays through Wednesdays, and until 9 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, for no reason other than it's getting busier at night. As soon as I heard that, my first desire was to check the board to see if anybody had left a response to my note, but no. It's been wiped clean, and when I got around to rotating the walk-in after counting my till and getting Cori's done too, I found a container of juice. When I left for home last night, said container of juice was once again moved to the back of the walk-in, and this time placed quite near a bag of lettuce that had a hole in it or something so it went bad. Then also, Steve apparently forgot to grab the torts and pies from the cabinet before leaving on Sunday, and Sheila opened, so instead of doing the sensible thing (which would be throwing them out and leaving a note asking him to make sure to check everything before leaving in the future), she tossed them all on the table in the office and left a rather pointed note on top that said "Why do I walk in to this + pies? Do your job right!"

I won't say any more on that for now though, because I didn't even close on Sunday, thus it's not my problem, but let's just say if I knew for a fact the juice in the walk-in was hers, I would've written my own note that said "Sheila: nobody's perfect. ps: we threw out your juice." As for the thing with keeping mini running, where I alone am concerned, we'll see. If it's something that came from Mike himself, there's really no other choice but to do it (besides, having Mike tell you to do something is far preferable, because he will actually explain why it needs to be done instead of just saying "Do this" and walking off), but if it's just from Earl or Sheila, the rule will be followed for as long as it takes them to forget about it. Besides, until they start giving us this extra closer that we're supposed to be getting, there's really no point to keeping mini up. Usually there are three of us working, which means one of us is on front cash, another one is on drive through, and the third is on line. There's no benefit for times in the entire world that we're going to be able to achieve with what they're giving us now, so I guess it's best to just wait it out.

In better news, on the way to work yesterday night, I was honked or yelled at three or four times, meowed at once, and had at least one picture taken by the passenger of a car driving by. Also, it was snowing on the way there too, which is really getting to be weird now that it's April. It's supposed to remain below zero for the next couple days too, so that's rather strange. I do hope it's nicer by this Sunday when we go out for lunch, but at this rate, I'm not sure. On an unrelated note, we get our pay stubs tonight too, but frankly, almost all of mine is likely spoken for already. $220, plus almost as much for a Paypal transfer. It would be nice if I make more, but I'd need an extra hundred dollars at least to put me up over another thousand, so I'm not holding my breath.

Anyways, I should probably go check the mail again to see if anything else came for me, then continue working on Pokesav or something. I was doing that last night, but then got a message from Dyno which saw us talk for about ten minutes, then him going offline and DJ coming on to see what was going on, and not-so-fun confusion therein. Dyno is supposed to be online later this afternoon though, and I have something to tell him, so it's just a matter of waiting for now~
