I left work at midnight too, and wasn't asked by Steve at all throughout my shift if I'd stay to close. I think he realizes I prefer to simply work my scheduled hours then go home, but tonight, of all nights, I would've agreed to stay for at least another half hour to get the floors done. There's no way he and George had a good close tonight. No way whatsoever, and there's an equally nonexistent chance that they stayed open 'till 1am as well. To make matters better (or worse, depending on how you look at it), Ang stopped by twice, both times to pester Mel. I kept my mouth shut though. I've warned her once that where I'm concerned, she shouldn't be in the back of the store when she's not in uniform and she made it quite clear that she wasn't going to heed that, so I'm just going to keep with my plan, which is taking note of when she (or anybody else that shouldn't be there) comes in, then talking to Melissa about it as close to the end of the month as possible.
Outside of work, my walk home wasn't nearly as long as planned, but I'm not going to fuss about that yet, because there's still tomorrow and Wednesday to take advantage of, then possibly also Thursday evening, because I'm thinking about walking up to Pharma Plus to see if they have any snacks, because I know Shoppers has several things that can't be found anywhere else, so maybe Pharma Plus will have their own unique item too. That's assuming I decide to at any rate, because I went to the bank before work, and now have $7,000 in my savings account, and ~$1,250 in checking. Putting more and more money in my savings account still seems a bit silly when I don't have any plans for it, but I guess that's why it's called "Savings".
I'm not staying up any later tonight either (it's already 6:07am), so maybe, maybe there will be something on the counter for me tomorrow afternoon, but otherwise, at least I'll have other things to look forward to~
