I was stopped by a cop just across the street from the police station. My initial assumption was that I would end up having answer the standard "Who are you?" and "Where are you going?" questions from before, but that wasn't the case this time. The cop did, of course, ask why I had a tail and ears, so I told him it was for fun and that I just enjoyed walking around like that, but then he went on to ask what it was because of, so I gave the more detailed "pick an animal to represent yourself as online, and possibly take that into real life like I'm doing" explanation. That led to me explaining why I chose to "be" a snow leopard, then giving a couple reasons for why I felt that fit me, then him asking my name, and this time, unlike last at that Studio 126 place on St. Clair, said "You can call me 'Kar'", and then he introduced himself, which is fun because I can't remember his name for the life of me now, followed by both of us taking off to our respective destinations.
There's just something about it, because I always looked at getting stopped by the police in such a light that it would only happen if they had reason to be suspicious about you, and now I have one story that directly disproves that theory. That was actually the high point of my night too, because work was quite busy, and it was also my first shift being on line in four days. I still abhor those new rules, but until they either blow over or I get used to them, I can make an attempt to shuffle stuff around and still have all "pre-close" duties taken care of by a reasonable time. I will admit to having bagged pans early tonight, but what they don't know won't hurt them. Besides, I'm not going to completely stop until Melissa gives us a reason for going back on what she decided before other than "I changed my mind".
Once again it's 6 though, and I'd like to try and get to sleep earlier tonight. I plan on giving the laptop skin a chance as well just because there might be a way to remove the bubbles of air under it without having to reapply the entire thing again, but there's no way I'm turning on my light again tonight. I do wish I didn't have to work tomorrow for a couple reasons (working on Starforce Pegasus some more or possibly starting into Starforce 2, as well as thinking of something more touchy I'd like to write about, but no. At least we get our pay stubs, but with that, this entry will end the same way the past several have~
