On a completely random note now, starting on Christmas, of all days, we noticed the youngest of our three cats was meowing quite a bit more than usual, and generally being extremely affectionate. At first, we just shrugged it off. I blamed it on something involving one of her toys, which has catnip in it. So anyways, yesterday, I went upstairs to ask Mom if we'd be able to go out to Wal-Mart, and said cat was there, in the room. I made a comment about how strangely she (the cat) had been acting, and my Mom just nonchalantly says "Oh, it's 'cause she's in heat."
And THAT'S why I'm glad this program has a draft-saving feature. I swear, I just turned the hard drive back on, to put some stuff on it, and *bam*, the computer restarts. WTF. I can access the files already on it (an icon, and the autorun.inf, to display the icon), so it's not as if it's not working,
Anyways, yeah, about the cat. That definitely explains her strange behavior lately. According to what was said when we were on the way to Staples earier though, we have to wait 'till she's out of it before she can get the operation. Supposed to be about 3 weeks as well. Feh.
Hmm. That's weird. The phone just rang, so I picked it up, and waited a couple seconds to see if I could hear any background noises that'd give away that it was Taco Bell calling, but there was nothing, then suddenly, the phone started ringing, as if I'd dialed a number. Waited a bit, then some guy picked up, said "Hello" twice, and I hung up. Did a *69, and I got 645-7126. After a bit of searching around, that number is apparently linked to Canada Trust, which is odd. According to Canada411, the number's based in London as well :o
Anyways, yeah. This's been sitting here for a good 5 hours now :p Nothing to really do right now though. I'd go to bed, but that seems like a horrible waste of time. I think what I might do for now is wait 'till 11 or so, then head up to 7-11 and Tim Hortons again. Tomorrow, I'd like to up and get a USB floppy drive from Staples, for the following reason:
First of all, there is one in the computer right now, but I had to move it down to fit the second hard drive I bought in. Thus, it's not on the same level as the slot in the front of the computer, so if I want to put a disk in it, I have to take the case off, then do some tricky maneuvering with the wires to slide the drive out. I also have been meaning to run SpinRite on the main hard drive in this computer for some time now, because it's been giving plenty of CRC errors and whatnot, and from what I've read, that should solve the problems.
I could run the program with the drive that's in here, but getting a USB one will allow me to do that, as well as free up the space inside for another hard drive, if I ever want to get one.
If I do though, I probably will tomorrow, so I can have SpinRite going while I'm at work.
For now though, we'll just have to wait.
