It's Like Springtime Already...

Strangest feeling half-waking up for a few brief moments and hearing rain falling outside. At first I had to give it some extra thought to make sure the sound wasn't coming from some other source, but now that I'm awake and just went downstairs to get some cereal, I've been able to see that it is quite wet out, and almost all the snow has melted. Some weird January we're having right now, but it looks like things should be back to normal by the end of the week, so that's better. Besides, I plan on making use of it to take a somewhat new way home from work tonight (out to Michener, then down to the street running beside the mall, and elsewhere from there), and the only way that could get better is if it were warm enough that I could walk home without a shirt on, but to do so would definitely see me get stopped by at least one cop, and I'd rather not have to deal with that.

Anyways, continuing things from things mentioned yesterday, last night was pretty much a success, with only two exceptions. Number one, I went to Sobeys needing pepperjack cheese, but ended up buying a small brick on Monterey Jack instead, because I couldn't find any of the former. I suppose I'll take a side of the same sauce from work tonight and if worse comes to worse, mix it in with the grated cheese, because according to Google the only difference is one having bits of peppers in it, hence the name. Hopefully that still works out, but if it doesn't, I'll just have one loaf of bread that doesn't get eaten as quickly as the others. I still need to find some other less-common (to my mind) ingredients though, being non-fat dry milk and powdered buttermilk, to name two. I've already looked through the entire baking goods aisle of Sobeys (albeit quickly, so I may have missed one or both), so for now I'll wait until we go grocery shopping this week, which is going to be on Wednesday again thanks to that supper shift I have on Thursday.

Moving on, I went to Tim Hortons up the street (along Park Ave) after that, for donuts at first, and after I'd paid for those, a small box of Timbits as well because they had a plain sugared variety that I've not seen elsewhere. The guy at the counter did seem a bit annoyed with me after that, but I know I've felt the same way towards plenty of customers myself when they ask for something else after their order has already been cashed out, so meh. Finally though, I went back down the street to Via Rail, and bought a ticket for April 29th there, which gives me plenty of time to get things in order. Although in honesty the most important item is letting Melissa know I need the 29th and 30th off, which is a bit too early to leave her a note for right now. Leaving here at ~2:15, coming back at ~9:30, so pretty much the same as before there, just with it being the same day instead.

As for other things today, there's some sorting of music for a new game (Be-Pachi Music) that I'd like to finish before leaving for work, and nothing else yet. I plan to finally try one of those Beefy 5-Layer Burritos today, because eating one should be negligible with the route home I have planned. Until much later tonight or tomorrow though, that'll be it~

Prediction: I'll end up becoming too tired to stay awake before I've finished writing, and by the time tomorrow gets here and I'm sat with my laptop…

Been a long time since I wrote in here, and even longer since I recalled a weird dream, but I had a couple last night that still stand out, and I'd…
