Everybody Yells at Me

An annoying thing from outside of work to start with tonight. I decided to stop at Tim Hortons on the way home for a couple donuts as planned, but instead of going all the way out to Bloomfield, I settled for the one across the street from the police station. Didn't feel like taking a long walk after waiting with Manoah for his ride to show up, and all I really wanted to do was get home and lay down on my bed, knowing I was done for four days. However, after leaving Tim Hortons and going up to the intersection, I'd just started to walk across the street when I heard a loud noise and looked up to see a cop car speeding out from the parking lot of the police station. Note that I still had a green light, but he saw fit to continue driving forward while I moved to get out of the way, then flash his lights and siren for a brief moment, open his window and yell "Are you [expletive] stupid?!" and speed off.

I'm not certain if he was asking me if I was stupid for being outside at 2am in just a t-shirt, or for the fact that I inadvertently got in his way, but it was and still is annoying. I was almost expecting him to double back and find me walking along Wellington so he could harass me further, but perhaps he was on his way somewhere, in which case I do feel bad for having been in the way, but all the same had every right to be, as the light was green, once again, and he wasn't anywhere near me until I was almost across the street.

That being said, tonight wasn't entirely bad, although work started off pretty poorly, but I should really expect as much by now. Knowing I don't work until Friday almost fully makes up for that, and I had Manoah quite worried earlier too from telling him I would be in on Wednesday to see him and George at the same time. He thinks it's for something bad, despite my assurances it isn't, but couldn't think of any other reason I'd be there to see both of them at once. Complications might arise if I'm needed at Heart and Stroke this week, but if so, I'll probably just start things before heading there so they're ready by the time I get home. As for that note I was writing for Melissa, sure enough, I'm not as determined to give it to her now. Unless I see that they're actually expecting us to follow the new closing duties list, but it may be something far more innocuous than I was making it out to be.

I'm done for tonight now though, because I'd like to head out to Real Canadian Superstore around 5 tomorrow, and am not quite sure how much time will be required to prepare the bread I want to leave baking while I'm out there. It has to knead completely first before I can add the stuff that's supposed to go inside it which I figure would require an hour and a half or so, but I'll find out tomorrow. Just need to set my alarm clock and that's it~
