What's more, as if that wasn't plenty, I immediately went upstairs upon getting home, and was in there for about five minutes when I heard somebody walking up the stairs. It was Adam, just returning to his room, so I thought nothing of it, and went down to the kitchen to find something to eat. What I found instead was a big pile of dishes, all of which he should've washed. I know he has other things on his mind right now, what with his girlfriend / fiance visiting and all that, but I want one of these passes that excuses me from all responsibility. Dishes take literally an hour and a half at most, so pry yourself away from the computer for a bit, actually wash, dry, and put them away, then you can go back to whatever you were doing before knowing you'd fulfilled your obligation for that night. I mean it. So I ended up going back upstairs to get my laptop, then went back to the kitchen again and did all of those. Not the worst thing ever, I know, but it seems he's graduated from only soaking the things before putting them back in the cupboard to not doing them entirely, and as far as I can tell I'm the only one who notices or cares enough to say something about it.
Still, I don't want this entry to be entirely about bad things. In truth I enjoyed washing the dishes after a point, because now Dad won't see the same big pile when he goes down there, and it was nice doing something other than what I'd been planning for most of the night - coming home and watching the last few episodes of DS9, which I'd rather get to tomorrow after I go out to Walmart and have everything I need to make cake. I've two days off now, and the next shift I work close with Orlando which will definitely be more fun than with George alone, so yeah. The only downside is that I have a mere five packages of peanut butter cups left, and two of them will be saved for the cake, but I'll do my best to spread them out over the next week. Not sure what sort of treats I'll have to share next, but maybe it's time somebody else took a turn. James used to always buy little boxes of Timbits when he closed, but for some reason doesn't do that anymore. Although now that I think of it, I'm relatively well off for money these days, so maybe I'll plan ahead and get a small something from Dairy Queen for all of the closers on a random night <3 Little surprises like that are fun, but I'd like to be surprised too for once.
I have a rather large blanket to fold up again before going to bed though (I tried sleeping with it last night, but only got one or two really restful hours), and a few other odds and ends I've been putting off since I got up here. No sense leaving them for any longer~
