I Needed a Reminder

Even though it's a bit old now, I've definitely learned my lesson, or at least re-learned why eating at work is a bad idea. I ordered one of the new burritos last night, to take outside and eat before my shift started. It took ten minutes to get. Sure, they were kind of busy, and at one point Steve apparently walked off to the back because he was stressed out and needed to go to the bathroom, but yeah. Never again, or at least not for a very long time. The burrito itself was good, although I did ask for it to not have salsa, but the wait was ridiculous when we're always being told to get things out as quickly and as accurately as possible. Thankfully, the rest of the night wasn't nearly as bad, and I had an absolutely beautiful walk home, so now I'm just left hoping for the same conditions tonight. If they are (windy and cold), I'll definitely take a long route. I don't care what time I get home, be it 6am or after that, but it seemed a complete waste to not make use of the nice weather last night, and I'm not about to make the same mistake again. Really though, the only reason I didn't take a longer way home was because I didn't have any music to listen to, which is easily solvable, but that's another matter all on its own.

I like Windows Media Player only in the sense that it's a program built in to Windows that I can use to sync files to my Zen. However, it's exceedingly dumb in all other respects. First of all, I've set all the folders it watches for files to add to the library to "Ignore". Despite that, however, it still manages to find the entire set each and every time I open it. What's more, I've also disabled the player settings option to automatically sync all files to it whenever it's connected, yet if I were to stop writing this for a moment, pick up the USB cable and stick it into the port, that's the first thing it would do. So forget this. Next time I have a couple hours to spare (not tonight, at least), I'll reinstall Zen Media Explorer, and perhaps things will work better that way. I'm also having another problem with how folders of individual tracks, which should rightly all have their own cover art all display the same cover image, and for the wrong artist at that. I'm pretty sure that's only a matter of proper tagging (I have the album set as "Free Singles (Artist)" for all of them right now instead of the particular track name, but I don't have enough time to go back and fiddle with that right now. In better news though, my replacement PSP arrived yesterday, and is for all intents right back to how the one I replaced is. Custom theme aside, of course, but 5.00 M33-6 is installed, and all my games and ISOs work just as they did before.

Going back a couple days now, I mentioned a few nights ago that I wanted to make a cake, and figured doing that on or around the day Adam got home would be nice, so upon getting home from work yesterday, I asked Dad when Adam was supposed to be getting back, and was told that at the moment, they aren't sure. Apparently Trish is in the hospital, for reasons unknown to me, but that concern aside, it's a relief. If I was going to bake a cake, I'd be well out on the way to Dollarama and Walmart already. I can't go tomorrow because it's Sunday and Dollarama probably closes early, and not Monday for the same reason because it's Labor Day, and while Tuesday might have worked because that's when he was first supposed to be leaving the states, that would mean he wouldn't get back until Wednesday, and sure enough, I work 7-close then, so any special proceedings would literally be confined to "Hey welcome home have a piece of cake I have to leave for work bye." Well, those things, and I don't exactly have the money to up and spend on stuff to make cake this week, but I'll have another chance before too long. I actually did dream that he was at home last night, but any other details of that got lost in amongst the few others I had. Details I should write down before work, actually, just in case I decide to write about them later. I still have one from earlier this week that I've done nothing with, so just maybe.

Anyways, I have about ten minutes left, so I'm going to tend to this music (just retagging it), and perhaps making a new icon out of the first commission I received from that artist I'm getting two and a free sketch from last night. There still are a few tweaks to be made to the final version (hopefully), but that shouldn't change the headshot too much~
