Not as Tired as I Thought

Yeah. There was one point while I was playing Phoenix Wright, where I felt like just turning it off, and going to sleep, but now I'm wide awake :p So yeah. Beat the Lost Turnabout. Woo. I assume the next case will introduce Psyche-Locks, and that's going to be interesting, to say the least.

Anyways, one of the things I forgot to write about in my previous entry was work on Thursday night. Didn't quite go like I expected. I walked in at 9, to see Shelia on line, and Mark on drive through. Didn't think anything of that, so I went to the back to wash my hands, then set about planning out how I was going to rotate stuff in the walk-in. Shortly after that, Earl walked in. Then Shelia came back, and said something about how they canceled Steve's shift, because labor was really bad (as in we've had way too many people working for how busy it's been), and that Earl had taken over his shift.

Amazingly though, for the first hour or so, I just washed dishes and made up chili, rice, and bean for Earl, because he was on line. At 10, we all decided to take a break from what we were doing, because there were no orders, so we went out and started on the dining room. I ended up finishing it, because more orders came, then after things died down again, Earl got the bright idea to turn the front sign on. I'm assuming that got things busy again, but I don't know for sure, seeing as I was back doing the dishes :\ I'd just gotten to starting the trays, which were the last thing that needed to be washed, but then Earl called me up on line because "Bar rush is here". Ran down to drive through to take a quick look, and found that there was only one car past the speaker. Unfortunately, I had to stay up on line and help him.

It was probably for the best though, seeing as it looked like once again, for every car that drove away, another one pulled in. That went on for about 10 minutes, then I went to the back, and washed probably 15 more trays, when I got called up front again. That time though, bar rush really was starting. Once we closed, I took a look at what things looked like on line, and told Earl there was no way we were going to get out before the order came. Sure enough, 4:00 rolled around and there was still stuff to be done, so I went to take the cardboard and garbage out, and on my way back, saw the truck pulling in.

So we had to put that away, and by the time it was finally done, it was almost 5 in the morning. For a Friday or Saturday, that would've been fine, but not for a Thursday.

I obviously have tomorrow off as well, then I'm back on Sunday, from 6 to close, then I have Monday off, and I'm not sure what things are like after that. I'm looking forward to next Saturday, as we're having company over for supper as well. I don't know who exactly, but those sorts of things are always fun.

Anyways, I should probably try to get to sleep now. Tomorrow's my first Saturday off in a long time, so I don't want to sleep the whole thing away :3
