Slow Bits of Progress

One would expect that the tracking page for this package would've updated by now, but no, ever since I got home last night, it's only said "Shipment data received". A couple days shouldn't change anything, as I don't think there are any perishable items among the contents of the box, but the shipping services page specifically says that the service used for the package in question would see it delivered by the end of the next possible business day. I don't know. Maybe that means it went out today and will come tomorrow, but no matter whether it does or doesn't, I'm still stuck as to something... significant to get for Dad, so I can't have my hopes up about being done by the end of the month once again. Considering what I have for him right now though, maybe I should simply put money inside for him to find, and when he finds it, say "Sorry for being unoriginal, but I really couldn't think of anything else to get for you". As for the rest, I believe I had a dream last night where the seller of one of the items I bought on eBay was getting after me about having not left feedback yet, so I really ought to do that, but would rather wait until I get those USBCell batteries, and that way, leave feedback for all three things I purchased on there recently at once.

Christmas-status aside though, here's really, really strongly hoping that tonight doesn't go like yesterday did for me. The first part of the afternoon at work was normal. It got moderately busy at suppertime, which was fine and to be expected, but then during the last few hours of my shift, I noticed a headache developing, which was bad enough by the time 10:00 came that I couldn't just ignore it and go about my night. As such, I went home and took a Tylenol, then sat on my bed for what felt like forever, thinking about what to do next, because I was much more tired than normal for some reason, and didn't even know if I wanted to go play Super Mario Galaxy 2 or some other game. In the end, I did go do that, and I think left off at having acquired the first two stars in the first level of world 5. I probably could've continued playing the game for longer, but I was still tired, so off upstairs I went, where I read random pages on TVTropes for a while, until my head was hurting too badly to read anymore, so I went to bed. That, however, was at 3:30. Yeah. I slept until ~1:30, and don't feel too out-of-the-ordinary anymore, but I'm going to be displeased if the same thing does happen tonight, because I already have options in my head to either go to Food Basics for Fritos before work, or to Tim Hortons for a sandwich and a drink or two after. Or maybe I'll try to do without that for tonight, because I have things for myself to save up for now, mostly thanks to TVTropes.

One of them is Metroid: Other M, which I would've gone out to EB Games for today, were it not nearly $60 on their site, and the other is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I might even preorder it, provided I'm able to ascertain that the preorder bonus I read about will be available in Canada. Also, now that I have a train ticket to go to Toronto, I feel it fitting to say again that if possible, I'd like to get a 3DS and copy of Ocarina of Time 3D while I'm there, but one thing about that I didn't consider before is that it will be quite near Christmas, so it might be a bit difficult to find one. On the other hand, if I could pay online a month or so in advance and arrange for store pickup during the time that I'll be there, it would be far easier to do that, but I doubt many stores would be willing to hold them for that long. I'm still going to try though.

As for the remainder of the afternoon, I have about an hour and twenty minutes to go before I leave for work (possibly more if I ask for a ride, since it's been raining most of the day), which should be more than enough to get a couple more stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2, and give me something to be eager to get back into upon getting home again. Now I just have to not get distracted with TVTropes again...
