Go to Hell, Taco Bell, etc.

Yeah, another entry involving work :P More of a rant, actually, but whatever.

As I hinted at in the past (or outright stated - I can't remember), I had today and Friday off of work. Sounds too good to be true, huh? Well it was. I'll start from the beginning of the day though.

I woke up at 11:00, or more like my Mom woke me up saying that if I wanted to go grocery shopping, I'd better hurry up and get dressed. After getting downstairs, I found out that Adam was coming along as well. I don't have a problem with him doing that, but Naomi's a different story. Anyways, after stopping by the bank along the way so I could get money for gas from my most recent paydate, we were on our way. We arrived at the Real Canadian SuperStore at about 11:20. We were out of there by 12, which isn't bad at all.

After that, we went back home, brought all the groceries into the house, and I sat down in front of the computer to surf the net before going to Heart and Stroke. By the time I got done volunteering, it was 5:00, and my Mom was waiting outside. Once we pulled into the driveway, I was informed that we were going out to McDonalds for supper. I can't stand McDonalds. It's all so plain. I suggested that we go to Taco Bell for a change of pace, but my Mom said no to that, for the sole reason that she didn't like tacos. I'm sorry, but if you're so narrow-minded as to think a place with "taco" in the name only sells those things, you need to get out more.

Long story short, I ended up getting dropped off there for supper, and her, Naomi, and a friend of hers went to McDonalds. Let's just say it was a good thing they didn't agree with me. The place was packed. I had to wait in line for a good 5 minutes before I could even have my order taken. It was fun though. A lady in front of me wanted a chalupa with beans instead of meat, and Glenda couldn't figure out how to ring it in, so I'm like "Ring in a beef chalupa, and go no meat, 1 easy bean", which, upon doing that, caused everyone in line to turn and look at me as if they were thinking "how does he know that?" :D

Once I got up to the till, Earl saw me, and asked if I wanted to come in for a half hour or so, just to wash dishes. He said that if I would, he'd buy me supper. It was really tempting, but I ended up declining, as I wanted the night off as well :P So we went home after that, and I just did random stuff on the internet, and watched Police Academy 5 and some Looney Tunes cartoons until my brother got home, at which point I ordered pizza, as I told him I was going to sometime after he got home.

Skip ahead to about 11:30, and the phone rang. Right away, I had the suspicion that it could be someone from Taco Bell wanting me to come in, but after not hearing anyone moving around upstairs for a couple minutes, I figured I was safe. However... a couple seconds after I made that decision, I heard my Mom moving around upstairs, and walking down the stairway. Yeah.

You wouldn't believe the evil look I gave her. In short, I ended up getting asked to go into work from 12-4, although on the condition that I was able to choose what I wanted to do. I reluctantly accepted, and went upstairs to get my uniform on.

Now I'm back (obviously), and although I was going to go into more detail about what led up to what happened, I don't have the will to type anything else right now, so this is all you're getting from me :)
